My First Time Getting Drunk

I would say the only thing I started to do was drink, every now and then. When I was 16 years old, I would draw on a fake mustache, with the black eyeliner thing, that women draw on lashes or something like that. Well I would take it and put it on my peach fuzz mustache, to make it seem like I had a thick mustache, like a man would have. I would take one of my father’s clean white hats and tilt it to the side, to show I was cool and walk up into the bar with my younger aunt or one of the ladies in our neighborhood. I would go to a bar on Jefferson Avenue, called Palm Gardens, which eventual turned in Club Fabulous and now is out of business. We knew some of the bartenders, so we could get free drinks and I got drunk off of Canei wine, one night. My uncle came and picked us up and I was in the back seat, of his car, with the worst feeling of my life. I have never had Canei wine since. This was the first time I ever got drunk. We used to have a corner store across the street from my old elementary, school #4. I would go into the store, grab a 40 once of Malt Liquor or Old English 800 and my friends and I would go to a school yard and drink at night. I would cut a hole in my winter coat pockets and put beer in my pocket and through the hole in the pocket, I would stash about 4 or 5 beers around the bottom of my coat. Then when we would go on school bus trips, where we would drink the beer.
